0.6/1kV copper armoured cable is suitable for use in rated AC voltage (U0/U) 0.6/1kV 0.66KV systems for transmitting and distributing circuits. With its metal armour layer, it is suitable for mains, submain and sub circuits unenclosed, in conduit, buried direct or in underground ducts for buildings.
Used in electric power plants, transformer stations, industrial plants, metropolitan networks and other electric plants, as well as for connection of signaling devices in industry, traffic and similar applications.
- Superior performance compared to PVC insulated power cables
- Overcomes shortcomings of physical and chemical crosslinkage
- Meets or exceeds GB and IEC technical property values
- Maximum conductor working temperature: 90°C
- Emergency short-circuit temperature (5s): 130°C
- Maximum conductor temperature: 250°C
- Minimum laying temperature: 0°C (preheating required below 0°C)
- Bend radius: ≥12× cable diameter (single core), ≥10× cable diameter (multi-core)
- High current-carrying capacity, not limited by drop during laying
- Single core cable: Non-magnetic wire (aluminium wire or stainless steel wire)
- Two cores, three cores, four cores, five cores: Steel wire or double steel tape
BS5467 compliant steel wire armoured cable is a robust and hard-wearing power cable with copper conductors, XLPE insulation, steel wire armour and black PVC sheath. Designed for mains electricity supply in power networks, underground systems, cable ducting, suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
Particularly useful in external or underground projects, providing effective mechanical protection and withstanding higher pulling loads. XLPE insulation is resistant to a wide range of chemicals and has good thermal stability.
Commonly used across building and construction, rail and transport industries, as well as transmission, distribution and power networks, automation and process control systems.
