Conduspar Protected cables are recommended for compact primary medium voltage power distribution networks. The covering of Protected cables is resistant to electrical tracking and bad weather. This increases the reliability of the overhead distribution network, avoiding discharges and shutdowns, in occasional contact with grounded objects and trees.
- Conductor: 1350 aluminum wires, compact class 2 stranding, with longitudinal moisture blocking - in accordance with NBR NM 280
- Conductor shielding: semiconductor thermoset compound (included for 35kV cables, optional for 15kV and 25kV cables)
- Cover: thermoset XLPE compound (polyethylene reticulated) resistant to electrical tracking and weathering, in gray color (black color on request)
- In steady state: 90 °C
- In overload: 100 °C
- In short circuit: 250 °C
- ABNT NBR 11873 - Cables covered with polymeric material for overhead electricity distribution networks fixed in spacers, at voltages from 13.8 kV to 34.5 kV
