The main function of XLPE Insulated Power Cable is to transport electricity, which is suitable for use in power distribution networks or fixed installations for industrial equipment operating at rated voltage up to and including 0.6/1, 1.8/3, 3.6/6, 6/10, 8.7/10, 8.7/15, 12/20, 21/35, 26/35kV with alternating current (AC) 50Hz.

This product is typically used under normal conditions and is not suitable for special applications such as overhead, underwater, ship, submarine, or nuclear power station installations.

XLPE insulated flame-retardant power cable provides excellent fire prevention performance, helping to avoid fire accidents and losses. It is ideal for high-density installations in locations such as subways, tunnels, and high-rise buildings.

XLPE polyethylene insulated low-smoke zero-halogen flame-retardant power cables are environmentally friendly products with superior flame-retardant, corrosion resistance, and low-smoke properties, making them suitable for crowded places like subways, shopping malls, and schools.

Technical Features & Standards

XLPE polyethylene insulated power cables are manufactured using a parasitical cross-linking procedure that transforms straight-chain polyethylene into a network structure, converting thermoplastic material into thermosetting material. This allows for a working temperature of up to 90°C, significantly increasing cable current capacity.

These cables offer excellent electrical characteristics, heat resistance, chemical resistance, environmental stress cracking resistance, and aging resistance, ensuring a long service life.

  • Conductor Temperature: Maximum continuous operating temperature: 90°C; Short-circuit temperature: 160°C (not exceeding 5 seconds)
  • Ambient Temperature: Installation temperature should not be lower than 0°C (preheating required if lower)
