AAC Application
AAC is used mainly in urban areas where spacing is short and supports are close. All aluminium conductors are made up of one or more strands of aluminium wire depending on the end usage. AAC is also used extensively in coastal regions because it has a high degree of corrosion resistance.
AAC Standards
Minfeng AAC conductors are manufactured in accordance with the following standards:
  • ASTM B230, NTC 360: Aluminum 1350-H19 Wire
  • ASTM B231, NTC 308: Concentric-Lay-Stranded Aluminum 1350 Conductors
  • IEC 228 for sizes in mm²
ACSR Application
ACSR conductors have been widely used in power transmission lines with various voltage levels, because they have such good characteristics as simple structure, convenient insulation and maintenance, low cost, and large transmission capacity. They are also suitable for laying across rivers, valleys, and places where special geographical features exist.
ACSR Standards
  • ASTM B-232
  • BS EN-50182
  • CSAC 61089
  • AS/NZS 3607
  • DIN 48204
  • IEC 61089
  • GB/T 1179
  • JIS 3110
  • ASTM B711
AAAC Application
The conductor is designed to get better strength-to-weight ratio and offer improved electrical properties, excellent sag-tension characteristics, and superior corrosion resistance when compared with ACSR. As compared to a conventional ACSR conductor, the lighter weight, comparable strength & current carrying capacity, lower electrical losses, and superior corrosion resistance have given AAAC wide acceptance in distribution and medium & high voltage transmission lines.
AAAC Standards
All Aluminum-Alloy Conductors (AAAC) can be supplied to meet various International Standards as follows:
  • IEC 61089
  • ASTM B 399
  • BS EN 50182
  • DIN 48201 / 6
