BV Wire Specifications
Standard: GB/T5023-2008 (Equivalent to IEC 60227-1997)
Conductor: Oxygen-free copper core
Insulation: PVC

Outer Sheath: PVC tapes ST2 to IEC.6
Wire Types: ZR-BV, NH-BV, WDZ-BV, THBV, FY-BV

THHN Product Construction
- Conductor: Copper or Aluminum. Stranded uncoated copper conductors per ASTM-B3, ASTM-B787, and ASTM-B8
- Insulation: PVC. Color-coded Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) heat and moisture resistant, flame-retardant compound per UL 1063 and UL83
- Color Code: Red, orange, yellow, yellow-green, blue, purple, gray, white or as required
- Outer Sheath/Jacket: Nylon, THHN tough, polyamide, Nylon outer covering per UL 1063 and UL 83. Slick Nylon outer jacket for easy pulling
- Conductor Type: Stranded conductor or solid conductor
BV Wire Service Performance
- Rated Voltage: 300/300V; 300/500V; 450/750V
- Long-term Working Temperature: Not higher than 70°C
- Minimum Ambient Temperature: Not lower than 0°C when laying cable
- Minimum Bending Radius: ≥ 4D for cable diameter ≤ 25mm; ≥ 6D for cable diameter > 25mm
THHN Wire Service Performance
Working Temperature: Rated drying temperature 90°C, nominal temperature 75°C wet, rated THWN. Most THHN building wire features THHN/THWN double rating for wet and dry applications.
When used as Type THHN, suitable for oil or cooling liquid temperature not exceeding wet or dry places at 90°C or 75°C. When used as MTW type, for conductors of 90°C in dry places, moist places, or places exposed to oil or coolant not above 60°C.
Building Applications
THHN Wire represents high heat thermoplastic nylon coating. Suitable for machine control circuit wiring or device applications. Ideal for new configurations or rewiring at 600 volts applied, and suitable for general use as defined by the National Electrical Code (NEC).
