It often starts small. A light flickers for a split second. Your phone stops charging randomly. A wall outlet feels unusually warm to the touch.

Most people ignore these signs. They blame the lightbulb, the charger, or assume the power company is having a bad day. But sometimes, the problem isn't the device—it's the connection​ itself.

In the electrical world, we call this "Poor Contact" . It is one of the most common, yet most overlooked, causes of electrical fires. Here is why that "loose wire" is a silent killer waiting to happen.


1. The Physics of Failure: Heat = Resistance²

When a wire is connected properly, electricity flows smoothly. But when a connection is loose—whether in a wall socket, a terminal, or a switch—the electricity hits a bottleneck.
